The Facility

Allegiance Health is a 411-bed care facility located in Jackson, Michigan. The hospital is community owned and locally governed. It is the only hospital in Jackson County and is the largest employer in that surrounding area. At Allegiance Health, more than 320 credentialed physicians in a wide range of specialties care for approximately 20,000 inpatients and a large number of outpatients each year.

The newly constructed emergency department opened in the spring of 2006. The department has 40 private treatment rooms, a newly formed open-heart program, an onsite pharmacy, valet parking, and private family waiting areas. The emergency department services over 60,000 patients annually.

The department is staffed 24 hours a day by Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians and the hospital provides 24-hour on-call for most specialties.
