Sign up with MSU to participate in the Medicaid Enhancement Reimbursement Progam (MERS)

IEP has been very fortunate to participate in Michigan State University’s Medicaid Enhanced Reimbursement (MER) Program through the College of Osteopathic Medicine. The MER is a program of the Michigan Department of Community Health in partnership with Michigan State University and Medicaid HMOs and recipients.  The purpose of the program is to utilize faculty to assure that Medicaid recipients have access to health care services.

IEP has over 60 providers recognized as adjunct clinical faculty of MSU COM and all of these providers are enrolled in the MER program.  We have the opportunity to enroll 60 more providers of IEP and IHP, including our APPs.  This is an incredible opportunity for IEP, IHP and you.  Through IEP’s participation in the MER program we receive an uptick on Medicaid payments. These payments help us remain financially stable in this era of declining reimbursement and decreasing ED visits.  Please apply for a faculty position at MSU COM and enroll in the MER Program today.
