Our roots are in Emergency Medicine.  In fact, you might say it’s in our DNA. Twenty years ago, a love of emergency medicine and a shared belief in collaboration brought eleven physicians together to form IEP.   Now, twenty years later we are still physicians and business partners, leading a company that has grown to 55 physician owners and six practice areas that span the continuum of care.  

How have we managed to stay independent and grow all at the same time?  For us, it all comes down to one word: culture.  Our culture reflects our values, and our values are reflected in our  relationships with our colleagues, our hospital partners, our patients, and above all, our providers.  We simply couldn’t be successful without our providers, and ensuring their well-being is our top priority.

IEP’s unique culture promotes both provider well-being and retention.  We have a competitive compensation package that includes generous CME funding and excellent retirement funding.  A low number of clinical shifts are required annually, which allows for plenty of vacation, and we have a sustainable, flexible scheduling approach that accommodates provider requests.  We employ Scribes and dedicated Nocturnists to support our clinicians, offer sabbatical leaves of absence, provide TEAM employee assistance programs, and promote social and team-building activities for team members.
