Under IEP's leadership  St. Joseph Mercy Oakland became the  first Trinity Hospital to develop and execute telehealth programs that are improving readmission rates and transition of care.

 

EMS-ED doc Face2Face is a telemedicine initiative that provides real time consultation with patients who were recently discharged  via EMS to aid in the prevention of readmissions

RSVP (Remote Specialists Visiting Physicians) is a joint community paramedicine pilot program that brings physicians face-to-face with patients in their homes through HIPAA-secure audio and video technology. Specially-trained paramedics are sent to homes of recently discharged patients, tablet or remote technology in hand, to complete check-ups and connect patients with IEP physician
